For this reason I consider that my degree in Translation and Interpreting is merely a base to which to add new knowledge and skills related to areas which are decisive when it comes to completing a good translation, from Spanish style correction to dealing with sources of information on specialist area, including term management or the use of computer programmes. My commitment to university research comes from the belief that theoretical reflection on our work helps to increase our capacity for decision, and offers arguments for resolving the day-to-day problems we encounter. Experience My experience focuses on the following sectors: -Technical translation – user and maintenance manuals, product descriptions and catalogues, informative bulletins and texts, technical documentation for tenders and other texts related to automobiles, industry, renewable energy, and the environment. -Financial and business translation – contracts, accounts, quality and human resources documents, correspondence and research articles on macro economics and marketing. -Translations for the European Union - LIFE projects. -General translations – tourist guides, art, film and the promotion of reading.
